Haitian Earthquake Response

Dear UC Community,

The earthquake that has devastated parts of Haiti is a worldwide disaster that merits worldwide attention.  We grieve collectively at the resulting and unimaginable destruction and loss of life.  As a global community, we are all affected and we should all join together to bring relief and comfort to those in need.

On behalf of the UC community, I extend sympathy to those impacted directly or indirectly by this enormous tragedy and encourage members of the University of Cincinnati community to consider what they can do to help.  At the moment, monetary contributions appear to be of utmost significance.  To that end, UC provides the following links to organizations as suggested by the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities (APLU).

Please look forward to hearing more from Student Affairs and Student Government about holding a symposium to explore help for Haiti over the long term. Academic Affairs, including Arts and Sciences, Engineering and UC International, are also exploring long-term response options.

Thank you in advance for your caring and understanding.  Please feel free to participate in the efforts listed below or the effort of your choosing to make a difference for those suffering as the result of this horrible natural disaster.
