Associated Press: UC Law Faculty, Students Help Free Man Wrongfully Imprisoned for Nearly 30 Years

A man wrongfully imprisoned for nearly 30 years has been freed thanks to efforts by UC College of Law students and faculty working as part of the Ohio Innocence Project.

The Ohio Innocence Project uses DNA evidence to clear people wrongfully convicted of crimes. Upon his release today in Cleveland, Raymond Towler, 52, became the  second-longest incarcerated person to be exonerated by DNA in the nation's history.
