WATCH ME: UC Joins 'Play Me, I m Yours' International Arts Celebration
A street piano was delivered to the front steps of Tangeman University Center late this morning, as UC became part of Cincinnatis "Play Me, Im Yours" international arts celebration.
The citywide event celebrates the anniversaries of Cincinnati Public Radio stations. The UC piano will be the featured attraction of a recital featuring College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Prep faculty and students at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 12.

"Play Me, Im Yours" at UC is sponsored by MainStreet and the CCM Music Preparatory Department. The above video features the piano setup this morning and the first person to take a try at tickling the ivories.

The CCM Philharmonia student orchestra continued its 2024-25 concert season on Feb. 19, performing works inspired by the natural wonders and legends of Northern Europe and Russia. Dubbed "Northern Lights," the eclectic program included concertos by composers Alexander Scriabin and Sergei Prokofiev, giving student soloists a chance to shine. The concert concluded with a rarely-heard pairing of two stunning works by Finnish master Jean Sibelius. Selections from that concert are now available for on-demand viewing.
