Ailing UC Employee Seeks Assistance Through Leave Donation Program
UC faculty and staff are encouraged to consider donating vacation time under the UC Leave Donation plan to help co-workers ease the strain of time off work without pay due to a serious health condition.
Suzanne Iversen, University Service Associate 1, SA One Stop Center, has been with the university since January 2002. She has been off work due to a serious health condition since July 2010.
A donor may donate between one and 40 hours of vacation time but must retain at least 240 hours of combined leave (sick, vacation and comp time) after the donation. The names of the donors will be held confidential and will not be disclosed to the recipient or their department.
