Columbus Dispatch: UC Receives Grant to Enhance Ohio Earthworks
The University of Cincinnati recently received a $400,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to help enhance the experience of visitors to many of the states remaining ancient earthworks. The university will partner with Ohio State University-Newark on the project.
The grant money will be used for the website of the Ancient Ohio Trail, helping to craft a high-tech driving tour of the major earthworks in central and southern Ohio. In addition, the grant will sponsor a series of Ancient Ohio Summer events in 2012.
