UC’s transformative power of education stretches beyond our courses for college credit. UC’s summer programs hold opportunities for children and adults and cover the spectrum of the state’s emphasis on science, technology, engineering, math and medical (STEMM) disciplines, as well as arts and athletics.

The list below will expand as registration opens for more summer programs. The individual links will provide details about the programs as well as registration and contact information.

Men in Engineering and Applied Science Summer Camp July 11-15
Registration begins in early March. Must be a male entering grades 9-12 in fall 2011. Thirty-five students will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Women in Engineering and Applied Science Summer Camp July 25-29
Registration begins in early March. Must be a female entering 9-12 grade in fall 2011. Thirty-five students will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.

2011 Summer Camp in Computer Science

College of Medicine Summer Enrichment Programs
Includes programs for middle-school students, high school students, undergraduates, post-baccalaureate students and teachers. Admission to all programs is by application.

Summer Surgery Experience and Summer Neuroscience Experience Programs for College Students

Research, Observation, Service, Education (ROSE) Program for Pre-Medical College Students
All application materials must be received by Feb. 15.

NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) in Membrane Science, Technology and Bio-Applications
Applications are due Feb. 15. The program runs June 14-Aug.19.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships
Undergraduate Summer Research Training Programs ranging from molecular biology to animal psychology and behavior. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 15.
