Summer Camp Scholarships Available for High Schoolers Interested in Fashion, Industrial Design, Graphic Design

The University of Cincinnati’s design programs are

nationally

and

internationally

ranked, drawing students from around the nation and world.

These top-ranked programs are offering rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in

  • Fashion design,
  • Industrial (product) design,
  • Graphic design communications.

Summer 2011 “design camps” in each of the subject areas will be offered at the UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). Participants will work with UC design faculty to experience a broad range of actual design curriculum and  to complete  real-world projects that will be exhibited at the end of the camp.

The camps will be offered

Sunday thru Saturday, June 19-25, 2011.

Each camp is a week-long, residential program, with housing offered in the residence hall within UC’s Campus Recreation Center, designed by Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne.

Each camp is limited to 20 participants

who will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Total cost for each participant is $1,250 – which will cover all educational and materials costs as well as room and board.

A LIMITED NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE TO COVER THE COST OF THE CAMPS

thanks to The Evelyn G. Burgoyne DAAP Design Summer Camp Scholarship Fund.
