June Fire Drills Planned for UC Campuses
The University of Cincinnati is required by state law to conduct annual fire drills in the majority of buildings. These drills are used by Public Safety to verify the efficacy of our emergency planning and preparedness program.
In order to minimize interference with classes and special events, the annual drills are conducted during the week after commencement. Should you have an event or function planned during that week which would be negatively impacted by a drill, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can work with you to avoid disruption.
The dates below are tentative and are subject to change. Fire drills are normally conducted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., unless otherwise noted or requested by the college or unit involved. Since the law requires that drills be unannounced, specific times are not given. Your participation is needed to help ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
