Update on July Fire Drills Planned for UC Campuses

The University of Cincinnati is required by state law to conduct annual fire drills in the majority of buildings. These drills are used by Public Safety to verify the efficacy of our emergency planning and preparedness program.

Summer 2011 drills were

first announced

in early June.

Some of these planned drills were rescheduled due to inclement weather or other exigencies. Below is the updated list of coming drills.

July 1:

5/3 Arena; Engineering Research Center, Richard E. Lindner Athletics Center, Blegen Library

J

uly 14:

Medical Sciences Building (CARE, Receiving), SRU, Edwards Center, Baldwin Hall, Rhodes Hall

July 15:

Swift Hall/Joseph A. Steger Student Life Center, Lindner Hall, Victory Parkway Campus

Aug 18:

College-Conservatory of Music complex, Dieterle Hall, Memorial Hall

Fire drills are normally conducted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., unless otherwise noted or requested by the college or unit involved. Since the law requires that drills be unannounced, specific times are not given. Your participation is needed to help ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
