VIDEO: UC Premieres Documentary on Senior Year in Fashion
From Sketch to Show, a 90-minute documentary that follows the University of Cincinnatis 2010-11 fashion design seniors from the beginning of the school year through to the end-of-year, professionally produced
, will premiere at
7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27
, in the main auditorium (Room 4400) of UCs College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP).
The premiere is free and open to the public.
The documentary was sponsored by Macys. Videographer was Rachel Schwarz, who shot 50 hours of original material.
Animation sequencing for the documentary was provided by Milan DelVecchio, a 2010 fashion design alumna.
Editor of the documentary was Michael (Mac) Clenney, a UC digital design student currently on a
quarter with Trailer Park, Inc., a movie trailer post-production studio and advertising agency based in Hollywood, Calif., that specializes in creating concepts and trailers, teasers, television spots, online campaigns and print ads.

A 2011 graduate of design, UC alum Charley Hudak has seen his career trajectory go from intern to creative director for Tiger Woods' new athletic footwear brand, Sun Day Red. While he may run with the biggest cat in golf, Hudak doesn't forget his Bearcat roots and comes back each summer to teach youth about footwear design at DAAP Camps.
Free Wi-Fi, work area coming to Greater Cincinnati

St. Lawrence Park in Price Hill now has free Wi-Fi and a furnished outdoor space for community members to access digital needs. The space is part of The Nodes Project, which stands for “Neighborhoods of Design Engagement": a collaboration between UC DAAP communication designers and community entities.
