Join Associate Professor, Kelly Frigard, as she presents five elements, influence of nature, traditional tools, natural materials, history, and textile schools which create an environment for innovative design and allow craft based art and textiles to flourish in Scandinavia.

Clermont Connects with Guadalajara
Learn about Dr. Michael Preston’s endeavor to bring Mexican students to attend college at Clermont. Dr. Preston partners with Sylvestor Flores in this presentation, as well as, in his effort to increase international diversity at Clermont.

Film Screening : “God Grew Tired
Of Us: The Lost Boys of Sudan”
This 2006 documentary film chronicles the arduous journey of three of the 25,000 “Lost Boys of Sudan” who fled the wars of Southern Sudan by walking 1,000 miles to escape, and then making another arduous journey to escape Ethiopia.

Guest Artist Talk, Saad Ghosn
A native of Lebanon, Saad Ghosn has been living in Cincinnati since 1985. A medical professional and an educator, he resorts to visual and spoken art to express himself and convey his views for a just and peaceful world. Saad believes that activism is at the heart of art expression, and that art is a potent tool for effecting a change. He is the founder of ‘SOS ART’ a yearly art event.

Journey through the Colonial Heartland of Mexico
Join Professor Jeff Rubel for a visual journey through Mexico. Attend this presentation to see the beauty of the colonial heartland of Mexico where the independence movement from Spain began. Learn about our study abroad trip scheduled for June 2012 to Queretaro, Mexico; the trip is limited to 15 students, and will visit several colonial cities. No Spanish skills required! Better not miss this presentation!

International Poetry Reading
Students will read their favorite poems from around the world, in English, and in the original languages, including Spanish, French, Gaelic, Farsi and American Sign Language.

UC Clermont baseball team wins second national title

The University of Cincinnati Clermont College men’s baseball team has taken first place in the 2024 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series. The Cougars defeated four-time national champion Penn State Dubois to claim the program’s second title and first since 2013.
