UC Seniors Create "Hire Me?! The Portfolio Handbook," New Tool to Help Young Designers

Core77.com, the well-known design magazine and resource, recently published a

lengthy review

of "Hire Me?! The Portfolio Handbook," a project by design seniors in the University of Cincinnati's

top-ranked

College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.

Since the ultimate goal of any design portfolio is to document and demonstrate work and skills to an employer, the students began the project by surveying working designers. The designers they surveyed placed the highest value on quality of ideas and conceptual sketches (vs. finished designs, renders, 3D models or prototypes), so the handbook spends the bulk of its pages on that foundation.
