UC Commencement Ceremonies To Be Held June 8-9
The University of Cincinnati will celebrate All-University Commencement on June 8-9 in three ceremonies, with each ceremony including doctoral, masters, bachelors and associate degree candidates.
The addition of undergraduates to Fridays ceremony opens space for UCs larger number of undergraduates earning degrees this spring growth as a result of recruiting larger classes of freshmen and progress on increasing graduation rates.
Doctoral degree graduates from summer 2011 through spring 2012 are eligible to march at the ceremonies, as well as all winter 2012 and spring 2012 masters degree graduates, and all winter 2012 and spring 2012 baccalaureate and associate degree graduates.
All ceremonies will be held in Fifth Third Arena. Here are more details on the June 8-9 Commencement schedule:
2 p.m., Friday, June 8
- College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH)
- College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS)
- UC Blue Ash
9 a.m., Saturday, June 9
- College of Allied Health Sciences
- Carl H. Lindner College of Business
- College-Conservatory of Music
- College of Medicine
- College of Nursing
2 p.m., Saturday, June 9
- College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP)
- James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy
- McMicken College of Arts and Sciences (A&S)
- UC Clermont College
Students must RSVP to participate in June Commencement ceremonies. The RSVP website will be open from April 9-May 14. Each graduating student will be able to RSVP for up to five tickets for guests. There will also be an opportunity to obtain additional tickets on a first-come, first-receive basis. More information will be posted on the UC Commencement website by mid April.
UC faculty and staff who are marching at Commencement need to place their online order for regalia by April 1. I hope that you can attend and greet our new graduates and their families, said Mitchel D. Livingston, vice president for Student Affairs and Chief Diversity Officer.
Each ceremony will be followed by a reception for graduates and guests at the Russell C. Myers Alumni Center, hosted by the UC Alumni Association.
