UC Clermont Biology Department Hosts 37th Annual Waffle and Maple Syrup Breakfast on Friday, April 6

Again this year - for the 37th year in a row - the UC Clermont Biology Department will host a waffle breakfast for the extended college community where Real Clermont Maple Syrup (our own essence of spring) will be served over yeast-raised cornmeal waffles.  The delicious pure maple syrup is the product of an outdoor activity of the first year biology labs from last quarter.  The breakfast will be held on Friday, April 6 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Snyder Building, Room 143.

Earth Day (April 22) comes soon after the breakfast and reminds us of the importance of reducing the amount waste we generate.  In the spirit of “reduce, reuse and recycle,” we will serve on china with silverware during this activity.  We hope you will help assist with cleanup of your own dishes when you are finished.

If you would like to volunteer for service during this event, you will be welcomed with open arms.  Finally, although we have four waffle irons on hand, if you have a large waffle iron you could loan for the event, it would be a backup in case one of our irons gets ornery and refuses to give up its waffle.

UC Clermont students, faculty, staff and their families are invited to attend this free event.  For more information, contact Dr. David Fankhauser at david.fankhauser@uc.edu or (513) 732-5236.
