'U.S. News & World Report' Ranks UC as a Best Part-Time MBA Program
U.S. News & World Report released its annual ranking of graduate programs on March 13, 2012. Once again, the Carl H. Lindner College of Business has made the top 100 part-time MBA programs in the country.
Recognizing the important role that part-time programs play in the lives of working professionals, U.S. News ranked UC's part-time MBA program 78th out of 250 part-time MBA programs in the country, a rise of 15 rankings over last year.
This recognition speaks to our commitment to deliver a top-tier graduate business education to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky executives, says Dean David M. Szymanski. We strive to offer flexibility and meet the needs of working professionals while making all our MBA graduates competitive in todays marketplace.
Methodology
U.S. News's part-time MBA ranking is based on five factors:
- Peer assessment
- GMAT score
- Undergraduate GPA
- Work experience
- Fall 2011 part-time MBA enrollment
The average peer assessment score is calculated from a fall 2011 survey that asked business school deans and MBA program directors at each of the nation's 326 part-time MBA programs to rate the other part-time programs on a scale from marginal (1) to outstanding (5). Forty-five percent of those surveyed responded.
Programs were ranked based on their average peer assessment score. U.S.News defines a part-time MBA program as being at an AACSB-accredited school with at least 20 students enrolled part time in both fall 2010 and fall 2011.
