HGTV Designer Vern Yip to Speak at UC April 25

Architect and interior designer Vern Yip, who appears regularly on HGTV, will speak at UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 25.

His lecture, free and open to the public, will take place in Room 4400, the main auditorium of DAAP.

Yip, a designer on HGTV's "Urban Oasis" and a judge on HGTV's "Design Star," will speak on "Designing Spaces for the World of Television: Principles, Guidelines and Differences from the Private Client World."

Free Wi-Fi, work area coming to Greater Cincinnati

St. Lawrence Park in Price Hill now has free Wi-Fi and a furnished outdoor space for community members to access digital needs. The space is part of The Nodes Project, which stands for “Neighborhoods of Design Engagement": a collaboration between UC DAAP communication designers and community entities.
