History Professor to Host Bus Tour of Civil War Sites
In recognition of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, history professor Christopher Phillips will host a roundtrip motorcoach tour of famous sites and battlefields from that era. Phillips will provide historical context as you visit Fords Theatre in Washington, D.C.; Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania; and many other must-see sightseeing destinations.
Phillips expert commentary will cover events beginning with abolitionist John Browns raid at Harpers Ferry, W.Va., in 1859 to John Wilkes Booths capture and death after his assassination of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865.
The six-night Provident Travel tour departs Cincinnati on June 10 for Washington, D.C.
