Duke Energy Summer STEM Academy at UC Clermont

UC Clermont College hosted a week-long, hands-on camp giving students, 13-15 year olds, an opportunity to explore a variety of STEM fields with college faculty. The STEM Academy was made possible through a Duke Energy grant of $10,500.

“The Duke Energy funds enabled UC Clermont College to provide scholarships, materials, career inventories, an instructional aide, lunches, T-shirts and transportation to two locations in the county,” said UC Clermont’s Director, Outreach Services Glenda Neff.

“I was overwhelmed by the interest in the program and truly excited to see so many kids in the room who want to explore the STEM fields,” said Warren Walker, Districts Manager, Community and Government Relations at Duke Energy.
