'Of Itself So' by Clint Woods Featured in Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont

Of Itself So by Clint Woods will be featured in the Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont College from September 4 - 25. An opening reception will be held on Friday, September 7, 6-8 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

Woods is a multi-media artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati, College of DAAP in Electronic Art.

Woods art works may vary in size but what does not vary are the intricate details he captures in each individual piece. The viewer is drawn in closely to the works to scrutinize the slightest fine pen strokes that create one world inside yet another. Amazing does not even begin to describe the surgeon-like precision with which Woods carefully draws such fantastical imagery.

“Ambiguity and incongruities in depictions of natural physical law lead the viewer to interpret and participate in the scene where flora and fauna can exist in a void in which the perception can vary and change. Objects float in zero-gravity space or can be buoyant in fluid environments and the proposed environments could be depictions of forest floors, the deep sea, or outer space on a microscopic or cosmic level,” said Woods.

The Park National Bank Art Gallery is located in the Snyder building on the UC Clermont College campus in Batavia at 4200 Clermont College Drive. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The gallery is closed on Sunday.
