Lindner College of Business Graduate Students Compete on International Stage

Five graduate students in the

Master of Science

in Finance program in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business faced competitors from North and South America at the March CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Research Challenge in Toronto.

The competition, sponsored by the CFA Society in Toronto, drew more than 3,000 finance and business students from 650 universities in 55 countries.

Lindner team members Michael Delisio, Andreas Galliker, Sam Siferd, Molly Chen and Yuzhen Zhou presented an in-depth financial analysis on Meridian Bioscience, a Cincinnati publicly traded company.

Though the group, overseen by

Michael Neugent

, assistant professor and director of the MS-Finance program at the Lindner College of Business, did not advance to the global finals in London, all were grateful for the experience to compete at the next level.

The Lindner graduate students won the local CFA Institute Research Challenge held in February at the Savannah Center in West Chester to advance to the Toronto leg of the competition.
