OLLI Summer Series at UC Blue Ash Looks at Current Events

This summer, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Cincinnati will offer a series of seven lectures on Mondays, 10 a.m. to noon, between July 8 and August 19, at UC Blue Ash College (UCBA).

Topics range from timely subjects in the news to history to Cincinnati’s cultural scene. Cost is $10 for the entire series, and attendees may register for as many of the lectures as they like for that one low fee.

Founded in 1990, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Cincinnati provides opportunities for lifetime learning and social interaction for the mature residents of Greater Cincinnati. For one fee of $85 each quarter, students may register for as many classes as they desire. Offerings range from such traditional college subjects as math, philosophy, creative writing, science, and history to courses on financial planning and downsizing to such eclectic subjects as wine appreciation, opera, bee keeping, tai chi, and harmonica. Most courses meet for 90 minutes once per week for eight week. Others last just for a morning or lunch hour. OLLI membership is open to adults aged 50 and older.
