'Compare and Contrast' by Carol Abbott and Ronald Keith Featured in Gallery at UC Clermont

Compare and Contrast, A Pairing of Impressionism and Realism in Painting by Carol Abbott and Ronald Keith will be featured in the Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont College from June 3-26 with a gallery reception to be held on June 21, 5-7 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

Local artists Abbott and Keith create a complimentary pairing of two different techniques in painting. Abbott, known for her happy, vibrant color palette and architectural subjects, creates works in an impressionistic style. Keith, fascinated at an early age by the landscapes of rural Kentucky and Ohio, uses true-to-life techniques to create realistic images of abandoned cars and farm equipment on canvas. Abbott earned her degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, spending many years in the computer graphics and printing industries before painting professionally. Abbott currently has a studio on the fifth floor of the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Cincinnati. Keith studied commercial art for a period of time before working for an outdoor advertising agency painting large-scale billboards. He recently signed with Penny Lane Publishing and his artwork has gone international.
