'The Origin, Diversity, and Culture of Appalachia' Workshop

Compass Counseling Center and Active Minds at UC Clermont present The Origin, Diversity, and Culture of Appalachia on Wednesday, June 12, from 4-6 p.m. at UC East in Room 100.* (Light refreshments at 3:45 p.m.)
 
Join us for this FREE educational workshop for all faculty, staff and students exploring:
•  The evolution of Appalachia and what people blended to create the region
•  Cultural traits
•  Psychological and physical considerations when working with people of Appalachian culture

Co-Presenters: Nancy Laird and Kathryn Russ, Ed.D., NCC, PC-S. Laird is the Human Services Coordinator for the Urban Appalachian Council (UAC) and has 25 years experience working at the UAC. Russ was featured in Counseling Today, December 2010, as an authority on Appalachian culture and is a member of the Research Committee of the Urban Appalachian Culture in Greater Cincinnati.

UC Clermont baseball team wins second national title

The University of Cincinnati Clermont College men’s baseball team has taken first place in the 2024 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series. The Cougars defeated four-time national champion Penn State Dubois to claim the program’s second title and first since 2013.
