Video Works by UC Architecture Students Win Awards

A University of Cincinnati created video was the recent North American winner in a

video contest

to answer the question: “What makes a learning space great?”

The humorous video was created by three students in UC’s

top-ranked

graduate architecture program and entered into a contest sponsored by Herman Miller, Inc.

Titled

“Your Own,”

the winning video was created by UC College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) students Grant Inglis, Alexander Rossini and Timothy Shouder in a studio course led by Udo Greinacher, associate professor in the School of Architecture and Interior Design (SAID). (Student actors in the winning video were fellow SAID students Amy Danielsons, Chris Fernandez, Ryan Scavnicky, Eric Schweinhart and Anna Van Evra.)

The winning team of three split a $2,500 prize for their first-place video.

Receiving Honorable Mention in the same contest was another UC entry titled

“Sketch It Up”

by UC students Brittany Catania, Amy Danielsons and Breanna Praechter.

In another video contest focusing on sustainability, sponsored by a young professionals group in Portland, Ore., UC’s Inglis, Rissini and Shouder also won first place for their video, “Our Future Is in Decay.” The students also worked on this project in the studio course led by Greinacher.
