Under the musical direction of Dominic Marino, travel back in time with the CCM Jazz Lab Band

for one night only

and immerse yourself in the titillating beats, heart-stopping solos and lively sounds of the swing era. Featuring the biggest names from the 1920s through the '40s, the evening will include classics by Count Basie, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Benny Goodman, the Dorsey Brothers, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington and more.

“We intend to recreate the magic of the original recordings from the 1920s, '30s and '40s with vocal features by members of the Jazz Band,” says Marino. The unrestrained musicality of the Big Band era will have you dancing in your seat and leave you wanting more.

The CCM Jazz Lab Band typically performs an eclectic repertoire written for 17-18 members. Active in the local music scene, they play frequently on campus and in Cincinnati area jazz clubs. Don’t miss the Kings of Swing as the Jazz Lab Band brings them to life like never before!
