UC Business Analytics Center to Offer Five Noncredit Courses

The UC Center for Business Analytics is now offering short courses in business analytics for professionals to strengthen their analytical skills. The noncredit courses are open to the public and are taught over two days by experts from the University of Cincinnati and leading business analytics companies.

The first course — High Visibility: Using Data Visualization to Transform Data into Meaningful Insights — will run from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Nov. 7 and 8 at UC’s Kingsgate Marriott.  Participants will analyze complex data sets to generate insights and present analytical output as meaningful information through data visualization. The course will cover data visualization best practices and design principles, including interactive tools for creating effective data.

The remaining four training courses, Data Mining in the Real World, Introduction to Big Data and Hadoop, Analytics in Excel and From Mess to Model, will run November through spring. To register or learn more about upcoming course descriptions, visit
