Bake Sale for Typhoon Haiyan Disaster Relief Runs Through Nov. 21

The College of Medicine's Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) will host a donation-based bake sale this week to raise money for Typhoon Haiyan disaster relief.

APAMSA members will be in the MSB atrium from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 through Thursday, Nov. 21.

Baked goods will be donation-based and all proceeds will go to the American Red Cross for disaster relief.

Typhoon Haiyan produced record-strength winds and storm surges when it hit the Philippine islands earlier this month.

According to the American Red Cross, approximately 10 million people across 40 provinces in the Philippines have been affected by the typhoon. As many as 600,000 have been displaced and the death toll continues to rise.
