Lindner College of Business MBA Makes Nation's Biggest Jump in U.S. News & World Report Ranking

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business made huge gains in both its full-time and part-time MBA program rankings, according to the 2015 U.S. News & World Report annual graduate program rankings released on March 11, 2014.

U.S. News & World Report ranked UC's full-time MBA program 60 out of 453 accredited programs in the country, a rise of 39 spots over last year and the single biggest increase of any school in the nation. The new ranking places Lindner 33rd among all public universities in the country and the only school in the Tristate area among the United States’ top 100 full-time MBA programs.

Lindner’s part-time MBA program climbed to 81 out of 282 accredited part-time MBA programs in the country, a rise of 69 spots over last year’s ranking and the largest ranking rise of any school in the nation. Lindner’s part-time ranking places it among the nation’s top 50 public programs.

“This is really fantastic news,” says Lindner College of Business Dean David M. Szymanski. “These improved rankings speak to the quality of our graduate programs in delivering a top-tier business education. The recent revamp of our MBA programs has attracted better students and led to better results in terms of student placement and starting salaries upon graduation.”

The gain in Lindner’s rankings can be attributed to improvement in all key assessment metrics such as GMAT scores, starting salary, job placement and peer assessment among both other universities and recruiters.
