Free Document Shredding Event April 2
University of Cincinnati Information Technologies (UCIT) Office of Information Security is gearing up for another free document-shredding event from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, at McMicken Commons on UCs Uptown West Campus.
All faculty, staff and students are invited to bring professional and personal sensitive documents to be securely destroyed and recycled. Please remove all metal, including paper clips and hanging file folders; staples are permissible. Plastic also needs to be removed comb bindings, transparencies, polaroid pictures, Tyvek envelopes, etc..
UCIT OIS staff will remain present to ensure that all documents received are properly destroyed and then recycled.

UC engineer honored with presidential award

The highest honor bestowed upon scientists by the U.S. government, the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) was founded by President Clinton during his time in office. The award recognizes engineers and scientists who exemplify valuable potential for leadership early in their research career. Recently, the University of Cincinnati’s Joel Alejandro (Alex) Mejia, was named a PECASE honoree.
