Canopy Project Team & Help Desk Collaboration Ensures Best Support

Canopy: UC’s full range of eLearning tools & resources. It’s more than just Blackboard.

As students log in to Blackboard, download their syllabi and check out the new calendar for their first upcoming assignment, the UCIT Help Desk staff will be getting a wave of calls and emails about Canopy and the upgraded Blackboard site.

In order to meet the community’s needs, the Canopy Project Team is lending their ears and their expertise to those asking about the new eLearning ecosystem. This effort further highlights the collaborative approach the team has taken with the entire Blackboard upgrade, involving representatives from across UC's campuses.

The Blackboard Training Team is piloting a self-paced training course to all faculty from the College of Nursing, College of Allied Health Sciences and College of Education, Criminal Justice & Human Services who are teaching this Summer Semester, as well as those who participated in the Blackboard upgrade early launch.  The training team hopes to release the course to all faculty in preparation for Fall Semester as a just-in-time resource or for those who are unable to attend formal Blackboard training.
