UC Clermont Holds Info Sessions for Technical Bachelor's Degree on Aug. 7
University of Cincinnati Clermont College will hold an information session for its Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS) on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 4-7 p.m. in McDonough Hall, Room 205, at 4200 Clermont College Dr., Batavia.
The information session will cover the admissions process, transferring credits and career opportunities, plus give students a chance to speak to an advisor. The $50 application fee will be waived for those that attend and apply at the session.
All college-level courses earned at an accredited institution will count toward this degree, meaning some students find that they may need as little as 45 semester hours of coursework in the BTAS Core Concentration area to complete it," said Academic Advisor Kathie Cooper. "We recommend that students call ahead (513-558-6197), especially former UC students, so we can have their info ready, and theyll leave knowing exactly what is needed to complete the BTAS degree.
The two-year program totals 60 semester credits and includes courses such as: team building and project facilitation, financial information for managers, workplace ethics, human resource practices, applied statistics, employment law and employee supervision.
The Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies will offer technical specialists career-advancement opportunities into supervisory positions, usually in a field where a technical background is essential to understanding the organization.
