UC Blue Ash Offers Free Presentation by Noted Attorney

David Singleton, a noted attorney and executive director of the Ohio Justice and Policy Center (OJPC), will provide a presentation about defending accused criminals on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 6-7 p.m. in the Muntz Hall Auditorium at UC Blue Ash College

. This event is free and open to the public.

In his presentation, Singleton will discuss excerpts from his book, "How Can You Represent Those People?" This is the first-ever collection of essays on what criminal defense lawyers call "The Cocktail Party Question." It features responses to this complex question that are funny, insightful and deeply moving, from some of the most experienced and thoughtful lawyers and teachers in the U.S.

A reception and book signing will follow the lecture, where copies of Singleton’s book also will be available for purchase.

Singleton received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his B.A. in economics and public policy studies from Duke University. His experience includes working with the Legal Action Center for the Homeless in New York City and the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C., before becoming executive director of the OJPC in 2002.

The Ohio Justice and Policy Center is a non-partisan, nonprofit, public interest law office based in Cincinnati.

The Community Conversations speaker series features authors, poets, artists and thought leaders sharing their insights on a particular topic or issue. The presentations are part of Arts & Humanities month at UC Blue Ash. All presentations are free and open to the public.
