Bleed for a Cause Underway

Five organizations on the University of Cincinnati campus are currently participating in the Bleed for a Cause competition to win big money for their chosen charity. There is no deadline for registration, but groups are encouraged to join the competition early as points are tallied each week.

Organizations will compete to score points by recruiting blood donors. The stakes are high: the top organization will win $5,000 for their chosen charity/philanthropy. The 2014 campaign will be held Nov. 1-Dec. 5 and is open to any UC organization currently in good standing. Organizations will recruit blood donors to any of the eight neighborhood donor centers as well as the All Campus UC Blood Drive for students, faculty and staff the first week of December.

In addition to earning points for blood donations, a special challenge will be issued each Wednesday. This challenge would allow the groups to earn 25 bonus points.
