UC Lindner College of Business Leaps to No. 47 in Bloomberg Businessweek MBA Rankings

The nationally-ranked Carl H. Lindner College of Business once again made huge strides in the ranking of its MBA program.

Bloomberg Businessweek

ranked the Lindner full-time MBA program No. 47 in the nation and No. 23 among the country’s public MBA programs.

“The dedication and commitment of our outstanding faculty and graduate programs staff combine to produce an innovative curriculum that allows us to deliver a top-tier business education,” says Lindner College of Business Dean David M. Szymanski. “The external recognition of these efforts through top-tier rankings by premier institutions is a tremendous honor and a strong validation of the quality of our academic programs and the quality of our graduates.”

Bloomberg Businessweek determined Lindner’s ranking based on three factors: student satisfaction surveys, recruiter assessment surveys and faculty research contributions to top journal publications. Lindner particularly excelled in the employer survey component as its recruiter score ranked 21st in the country.

The Bloomberg Businessweek rankings news comes on the heels of two other recent rankings accolades for the Lindner MBA program. On March 11, 2014, U.S. News & World Report released its annual list of the country’s Best Business Schools and Lindner earned the single biggest rankings jump of any school in the country on both the full-time MBA chart and on its part-time MBA rankings chart.

Lindner was ranked 60th overall and 33rd among public universities and was the only school in the Tristate area ranked among the United States’ Top 100 full-time MBA programs. Lindner’s part-time MBA program was ranked 81st overall and among the nation’s Top 50 part-time public programs.

Lindner’s strong ranking is even more impressive given that this is the first year Lindner has been ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek.

In September, Lindner was ranked the No. 1 best value business school in the country by CollegeAtlas.org, a website that helps students decide which universities to attend. In its first-ever rankings of MBA programs, College Atlas ranked Lindner as the best program in the nation based on its academic quality, job placement success, average GMAT score, tuition affordability and acceptance rate.
