UC Sales Students Make Quarterfinals in National Sales Competition
Two undergraduate students from UCs Sales Center at the Lindner College of Business advanced to the quarterfinals in the National Collegiate Sales Competition held at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta on April 7, 2015.
Samuel Bores, BBA 16 Industrial Management, and Kristine Trampe-kindt, BBA 16 Marketing (Undergrad in Professional Sales), tied 13th in the nation among 62 colleges and universities, besting last years 24th ranking.
Bores and Trampe-kindt, along with mentors Jeanne Frawley and Jane Sojka, and a six-member entourage of Lindner sales students who assisted brought back two quarterfinal awards. UC was among only five schools which advanced to the quarterfinals with both team members a first in its history.
Launched in 1999, the National Collegiate Sales Competition is the largest and oldest sales role-play competition in existence. This year the group had 20 minutes to sell a gelato shop an ADP mobile payroll system.
The event also serves as a networking opportunity for students. In this case, Bores was recruited by Intel, Johnson and Johnson and Ethicon for an interview.
