Faculty and staff are invited to the
IT@UC Faculty Technology Showcase
, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, in the Tangeman University Centers (TUC) Great Hall, fourth floor.
This event, a project of the Second Cohort of the
, showcases the myriad ways faculty use technology to enhance student learning experiences.
What youll experience at the IT@UC Faculty Technology Showcase:
- 8-9 a.m.: Check-in at registration tables.
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Enjoy multi-track presentations given by University of Cincinnati faculty and staff in TUC 400B, 400C, 405, and Great Hall.
- 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Experience innovation at interactive booths in the Great Hall. This Vendor Expo is brought to you by the universitys IT community.
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Enjoy light fare & beverages in Great Hall.
- 1-2 p.m.: Listen to music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in the Great Hall.

2-3 p.m.: Keynote address from University of Cincinnati Trustee Robert E. Richardson Jr.
- 3 p.m.: Door prize drawing! (You must be present to win.)

Sarah Jessaic Parker recently gave Cincinnati a shoutout during an interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. She talked about theaters she enjoyed visiting — like Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, where her father worked as a stage manager, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. SJP attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts during her elementary school years, and also took classes at CCM Prep.
CCM alumnus wins Armenia’s Khachaturian Conducting Competition

UC College-Conservatory of Music alumnus Fernando Gaggini (MM Orchestral Conducting. '19) recently won First Prize and the Audience Award at the 21st Khachaturian International Conducting Competition in Yerevan, Armenia. From a pool of over 250 applicants representing 25 countries, 17 conductors were invited to participate in the live rounds of the competition, held June 6–12, 2025.

Many CCM alumni, students and faculty members work and perform at The Carnegie Theatre in Covington during the summer. There are 16 CCM stars currently working on "The Color Purple," which runs through July 6, 2025; tickets are on sale through The Carnegie's Box Office.
