All-Campus Blood Drive Will Help Thousands of Lives

Students and faculty at the University of Cincinnati helped to save thousands of lives by donating blood during the Sept. 14-18 All-Campus drive.

The drive collected 1,037 units of lifesaving blood from 1,282 registered donors, including 504 first-time donors.  More than 3,111 lives will be affected by the amount of blood given by UC donors.

“We are grateful to the University of Cincinnati students, faculty and staff that rolled up their sleeves to save a life during the blood drive,” said Alecia Lipton, public information officer. “This blood drive came at a critical time following the summer months, when blood donations are low, but the need is increased.”

The next All-Campus Blood Drive will be held Nov. 30-Dec. 4 on the UC campus in TUC.
