College of Nursing Dean Greer Glazer Joins Board of The Sullivan Alliance

Greer Glazer, PhD, dean of the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Nursing, has joined the Board of Directors of The Sullivan Alliance to Transform the Health Professions. 

"As we look forward to the future, we recognize the need for expanded interprofessional training and care delivery to address the health demands of our nation," said The Sullivan Alliance Chairman and CEO Louis Sullivan, MD. "As a part of our board of directors, Dr. Glazer's strong leadership skills and deep engagement in diversity efforts will be a tremendous asset to our efforts to increase diversity across the health workforce."

Glazer has been involved in efforts to diversify the nursing workforce since 2004 with significant HRSA foundation and health care funding for pipeline institutional projects. Her professional organization involvement includes AACN Board of Directors, the Coalition Urban Serving Universities Urban Health Initiative Committee, and past chairperson of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Executive Development Series.

"I am honored and humbled to serve on such an important board under the leadership of an icon, Dr. Louis Sullivan," said Glazer. "I hope that in some small way I can contribute to the diversification of the health care workforce in the United States which is sorely needed." Glazer is UC's seventh dean of nursing and 14th senior leader of the college, which was led for its first 51 years by a superintendent or director.
