During his 22-year tenure at ANSYS, including 16 years as CEO, he grew the company into the global leader in engineering simulation software, and helped organizations from Tesla to NASA innovate through virtual prototypes. Cashman was honored with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award by the UC Alumni Association and the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
