UCPD Opens Applications for Police and Security Officers

Do you love connecting with your community? Are you interested in law enforcement? The University of Cincinnati Police Division is looking for motivated people to apply to be police and security officers.

UCPD is seeking police officers who hold a current Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) commission, people who are interested in becoming a police officer but have not been certified yet and security officers.

UCPD is a fully empowered policing agency that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All police officers are certified by the state of Ohio and have full police authority. Our division includes a K-9 Unit, a Criminal Investigations Unit, a Community Engagement Unit and a Training Section.

UC Police officers interact with the campus community not only on cruisers and on foot, but also on motorcycles, mountain bikes and segways.
