UC instructors: visit the new 'Canopy Creative Space' for eLearning collaboration

New weekly face-to-face sessions offered to UC faculty focused on eLearning technology and innovative teaching techniques in the classroom.

The Center for Excellence in eLearning (CEeL) announces the opening of its new weekly walk-in services for University of Cincinnati faculty called Canopy Creative Space on Fridays from 9-11 a.m. on the fifth floor of Langsam Library.

Canopy Creative Space provides opportunities to meet one-on-one with CEeL team members to discuss ways to enhance their students’ experience.

Each Friday, instructors will have accesses to experts in instructional design, accessibility, classroom technology, Canopy tools and more. For added support, workshops, special speakers and specific training sessions also will be offered.

While CEeL is known for its longtime support of eLearning technology through the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences’ iPad Initiative, the eLearning Backpack Project and the Lightboard video facility, Canopy Creative Space presents an opportunity to connect with faculty members as they reimagine teaching.

"My experience was great,"” adjunct assistant professor Michelle Watts said. "“It’s now my second time at Canopy Creative Space and I loved it. The team was helpful and knowledgeable and I always feel empowered when I leave.”"

Through this collaboration, CEeL aims to strengthen partnerships within the university’s teaching communities and encourage innovative solutions in the classroom. Please stop by Langsam Library between 9 and 11 a.m. to work with a team member.
