Med Students to Learn Where They Will Be Matched for Residency

CINCINNATI—Each year, graduating medical students at the University of Cincinnati (UC), and across the country, gather to learn where they will be completing their residency training.

Students have applied for residency training in their programs of choice, hoping to “match” with their preferred hospital and specialty when the results are announced on Match Day.

The 2008 Match Day celebration at UC College of Medicine will be held Thursday, March 20, in room E-351 of the Medical Sciences Building,

Eden Avenue and Albert Sabin Way. Opening remarks will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by match results beginning at noon.

The National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) serves as a venue for matching the program preferences of students with those of residency program directors. To learn more about residency matching, visit www.nrmp.org.
