Procter & Gamble Scientific Lectureship Series May 17
The Department of Dermatology will host Hensin Tsao, MD, PhD, as the Procter & Gamble Visiting Lecturer on Thursday, May 17.
Tsao is associate professor of dermatology at Harvard Medical School. After joining the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, he established the Skin Cancer Genetics Laboratory and the hospitals Melanoma Genetics Program in order to better understand the molecular basis of melanoma predisposition, progression and therapeutic response.
He will present, "Personalizing Skin Cancer Care in the Genomic Era, at 10 a.m. in the Heaton Conference Center (Room G344) on the ground level of the Hoxworth Building. For more information, call Janet Burdsall at 513-584-6803.

University of Cincinnati engineers created a new device to help doctors diagnose depression and anxiety. The “lab-on-a-chip” device measures the stress hormone cortisol from a patient’s saliva. Knowing if a patient has elevated stress hormones can provide useful diagnostic information even if patients do not report feelings of anxiety, stress or depression in a standard mental health questionnaire.
