CARE/Crawley Staircase Repairs Underway

Repairs to the CARE/Crawley Building’s Grand Staircase—the exterior steps leading from Eden Avenue to the main entrance—began this week, with completion expected by the end of August. During this time, portions of the stairs will be blocked for work, but safe, passable access to the CARE/Crawley Building will be maintained at all times.

The work that is being performed involves step repair and replacement and is related to pavement resettlement. Some areas will require re-grouting and re-caulking. Work hours will generally conform with regular operational hours, starting at approximately 7 a.m. on weekdays and continuing until approximately 4 p.m. There might be occasions when the contractor starts work earlier or finishes later.
