Message from the Goering Center president

By Carol Butler

These are challenging and trying times in our world — there is much uncertainty in our lives with the one constant of change. In these difficult times the Goering Center is committed to be here for you — to meet your needs — to meet you where you are.

Family and private businesses are the backbone of the American economy — of our region’s economy. By continuing to do what we do best, nurture and educate family and private businesses who are committed to creating a better future, we can help. This will require ongoing innovation, commitment to our community, as well as flexibility and agility.

In a world full of change we strive every day to be better and do better, to be more thoughtful and more respectful and in simple words of great wisdom — to be kind.

In this spirit of support I want to take this opportunity to remind you of the benefits the Goering Center provides and also want to update you as to how our team will operate in the near term:

Roundtables

We encourage roundtable participants to continue to meet, whether virtually or with social distancing (as you prefer). The support and advice provided through roundtables is critical during times like these. I’m sure you will all continue to be there for one another. If you are not on a roundtable, please do not hesitate to reach out and inquire.

Upcoming events and institutes

We have rescheduled events and institute sessions that were previously postponed. We’re excited for you to learn more about our summer and fall offerings. View our calendar of events for the most current updates.

Our team is working differently

On July 6, our team members plan to return to the (physical) Center in a phased approach, on different rotations during the week. Please follow this link to contact a team member. Thank you for your patience as we work through the administration of these changes. We are open for business and available to you.

I am so glad to be on this journey with you, and thank you for all that you are doing to build up our region.

Warmly,
Carol
