Tritan is a BPA-free plastic. A team of University of Cincinnati researchers acquired 10 different Tritan bottles and detected BPA release from two kinds of Tritan bottles. The team then tested whether rinsing, handwashing or dishwashing removed the BPA from the Tritan bottles. The results of their study is available in the scholarly journal Chemosphere. UC's Ohio Innocence Project helped earn freedom for a Cleveland man after more than 14 years in prison. Michael Sutton was one of two men convicted in 2006 as a teenager for the shooting of two people and the attemped shooting of a police officer. He and Kenny Phillips were freed on bond on May 3, 2021.
