Being active on campus and in the community is essential to student learning and development. Research shows that students who are involved outside the classroom are more likely to stay in college and often see greater success within their studies. Pre-Law Student Organizations
Black Women in Pre-Law - Members will learn how to manage a variety of situations that they could encounter. Such as, circumstances that propose itself in the classroom as a black female pre-law student as well as, working in your profession as an attorney. Also, we will learn how to conduct ourselves in a way that exudes confidence. Our members will be given the tools they need to direct their future legal careers, whether that means learning about professional dress attire, developing their public speaking abilities through discussions and presentations, resume workshops and reviews for internships and co- ops, or navigating their own personal and leadership growth.
Phi Alpha Delta - Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International is a professional law fraternity advancing integrity, compassion and courage through service to the student, the school, the profession and the community. This organization is open to all students, regardless of year or major.
Pre-Law Club - The UC Pre-Law Club is an organization meant to educate and guide students who are interested in attending law school after receiving an undergraduate degree. We also strive to inform our members by having interactive discussions on current legal issues. We work with attorneys and professors at the law school as well as other guest speakers to provide as much information to members as possible. We also work to improve resumes, social and community service skills. Additionally, we strive to bring students in undergraduate programs interested in law together.
Pre-Law International Students Society (PLISS) - We are an association of passionate UC students who aim to create a space where international pre-law students can interact with each other, seek guidance from upperclassmen, and build connections that will help them succeed in their post-college life and professional careers.
SOAR UC - University of Cincinnati Chapter is a student-led club that works to support acid attack survivors around the world by raising funds, supporting their medical needs, providing vocational training, connecting them with support groups and so much more.

UC Mock Trial Team - The University of Cincinnati Mock Trial Team has been competing on a national level since the 1992-93 season. UC has a proud tradition of excellence which includes having at least one team qualify for the national competition in every year of its existence.
University of Cincinnati Women In Law - University of Cincinnati Women In Law seeks to create an inclusive, educational, and supportive environment for female undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in the legal profession.
Pre-Health Student Organizations
Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) - This organization is the national Health Pre-Professional Honor Society for pre-health students. Although admission to AED is selective, meetings are open to all UC students with an interest in pursuing a career in health care.
American Medical Student Association, Premedical Chapter - The purpose of AMSA shall be to provide pertinent information to students interested in medicine, to stimulate an appreciation of the importance of pre-medical education in the study of medicine and to encourage excellence in pre-medical school.
American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) is an organization that helps to advance women in medicine, advocate for equality, and ensure excellence in healthcare. It focuses on leadership, mentorship, career development, advocacy, and networking!
Eta Sigma Gamma - Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG) is a national honorary society for public health education students. The University of Cincinnati Gamma Eta chapter strives to affect behavioral change on the University of Cincinnati’s campus through group initiatives and awareness raising. Activities include: going to regional and national health education-related conferences; on campus events to increase awareness about nutrition, safer sex, mental health, smoking, networking with faculty, staff, and local professionals involved in health education, and more!
GlobeMed - The mission of GlobeMed is to connect the assets of a student-led network to grassroots health organizations working in communities around the world and to inspire and train university students to mobilize resources for global health and to become socially-conscious leaders for change.
Global Public Health Brigades- GPHB strives to increase the quality of life of impoverished rural communities abroad. This will be accomplished through brigades to countries consisting of active student members. Our other focus is education about global and public health.
HealthCats - Healthcats is a pre-health student organization that focuses on health promotion, volunteerism, and undergraduate collaboration in the Cincinnati community. Our general body meetings aim to share opportunities and information with our members that may advance their undergraduate careers, as well as foster relationships between pre-health students that they may utilize in their future professional endeavors.
Health for the Homeless - "Are you interested in lending a hand to Cincinnati's unhoused population? Health for the Homeless' Mission is to alleviate health disparities and improve the comfort of individuals within the homeless population in Cincinnati. Join us to help fight stigma towards the homeless, learn about the healthcare disparities this demographic faces, and take action by creating care packages, fundraising for supplies, and becoming First Aid Certified."
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) - HOSA is a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition that promotes career opportunities in the health care industry and enhances the delivery of quality health care to all people. At the University of Cincinnati, our HOSA chapter participates in HOSA conferences, and members are able to compete in various competitions to help hone their skills and interests in the healthcare field.
Integrative Medicine and Health Club - The Integrative Medicine and Health Club will provide education on integrative medicine modalities and benefits, particularly when compared to current clinical treatments. Future health care students will benefit with knowledge of the rapidly growing field and how to apply methods in future practice.
MAPS: Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students - MAPS is targeted towards undergraduate pre-medical students. Through a partnership between local SNMA chapters and undergraduate pre-medical students, the MAPS program aims to increase the matriculation of underrepresented students into health related careers.

Phi Delta Epsilon - Phi Delta Epsilon is a professional medical fraternity supporting the need for camaraderie and mentoring among medical students. PhiDE (pronounced F-eye Dee Eee) provides educational opportunities, supports philanthropic projects, and serves as a foundation for the development of relationships among medical professionals throughout the entire spectrum of a medical career.
UC Pre-Dental Society - UC Pre-Dental Society is committed to serving the students of the University of Cincinnati by aiding them on their journey to pursuing a career in the dental field. It is a platform for members to engage while learning and advocating for dentistry and oral health in the community. Our goal is to also connect pre-dental students to resources needed for being a successful applicant of dental school. Throughout the year there will be various opportunities to gain an insight into the field of dentistry, get involved, and have fun!
Pre-Occupational Therapy Club - The University of Cincinnati Occupational Therapy Club’s goals are to bring together students who are interested in pursuing a future in occupational therapy. This club will provide information needed when it comes to skills such as how to build a resume, how to apply to graduate school, how to network, etc. relevant volunteer experience, shadowing information, and job opportunity information.
Pre-Optometry Club - The Pre-Optometry club offers all undergraduate students that are interested in the field of optometry or interested in becoming an optometrist the chance to explore, familiarize and dive into the surrounding community as well as getting ready for optometry school.
Pre-Pharmacy Student Society -The Pre-Pharmacy Student Society offers all undergraduate students interested in a career in pharmacy with a chance to explore and familiarize themselves with the field and to explore the process of applying to pharmacy school.
Pre-Physical Therapy Club - Advances the interests of its members by providing a means for increasing knowledge, mentorship, and interest/exposure to the profession amongst undergraduate students who are potentially interested in or already on track to pursue a career in Physical Therapy.
Pre-Veterinary Society - This group's purpose is to connect with other pre-vet students on campus and participate in activities that will help us with our future in animal care.
Remote Area Medical at the University of Cincinnati - Remote Area Medical is a non-profit organization that sets up pop-up clinics in underserved communities around the U.S. to give them vision, dental, medical, and other types of care that they are unable to access. The UC chapter will help provide transportation, housing, and guide students to participate in these weekend long clinics. Students will be able to help less privileged communities, gain invaluable clinical experience, as well as receive volunteer experience. This organization is geared towards but not limited to service oriented students with aspirations in the healthcare field.

Society of Black Women in Medicine - Society of Black Women in Medicine has the mission to empower Black Women at UC to pursue a professional career in healthcare and provide them with the resources and community to excel. The organization aims to provide companionship, service, as well as professional and academic development tools geared towards the success of each individual member and their goals in healthcare.
Student Association of Pre-Physician Assistants - An academic organization for those interested in becoming Physician Assistants (PA). Designed to spread awareness and knowledge about this field.
Trailblazer Bearcats is a new student organization aimed to provide support, education, resources, and a sense of community for first-generation and Underrepresented Minority (URM) pre-medical students at the University of Cincinnati. The aim of this organization is to promote personal development and collegiate success while also serving as a safe space for members to share their concerns and struggles associated with this rigorous path.
UC-Society for Advancing Hispanics/Chicanos & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) - SACNAS is a society of scientists dedicated to fostering the success of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American scientists.
Undergraduate Research Society - The Undergraduate Research Society is a community of undergraduate students who have some research experience and who support each other in the research journey. Members have current or previous research experience, understand various ways students access research at UC and beyond (orientation provided), enjoy talking with students about their research and how they got involved, support students who want to get involved in research by providing guidance, insight and access to their research network, and more.
