UC's Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner online program prepares students to care for patients 13 and older from wellness to illness. The curriculum prepares students to provide preventative, new onset, and chronic care. There is emphasis on education, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation as well as health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management of the adolescent, adult, and aged adult.

Adult-Gero Primary Care NPs work in a variety of community-based primary care settings, including clinics focused on a specialty — such as cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, etc.— hospital outpatient clinics, private practices, and long-term care facilities.
