Bicycle and Scooter Registration

All students, staff and faculty at the University of Cincinnati are asked to register their bicycle or electric scooter with the Department of Public Safety. Information collected during the registration process is entered into a database and used to identify the bicycle or electric scooter in case of theft.

In Ohio, most motor vehicle traffic laws also apply to cyclists. In addition, the city of Cincinnati has specific ordinances pertaining to bicycles on city sidewalks.

The Bike Kitchen is a free service provided to the community by the Office of Sustainability at the University of Cincinnati. The Bike Kitchen seeks to promote bicycle culture, safety, and accessibility as a sustainable form of transportation that builds community and fosters healthy lifestyles. The Bike Kitchen offers repair services, tune-ups, and workshops for free to the community.
