UC Garden
The UC Sustainability Garden provides hands-on experience in urban agriculture. It is where UC community members can gather to promote a healthier ecosystem and combat campus food insecurity.
The garden integrates sustainable growing practices (crop rotation, zero pesticide usage, soil cover, and more) to increase soil health and provide a haven for pollinators. A variety of crops are grown each year, and all produce is donated to the Bearcats Pantry & Resource Center to support student health and wellness.
By fostering biodiversity and encouraging environmentally friendly techniques, the garden is as a valuable learning space for students interested in green work and supporting sustainable food systems to ensure nutritious food access for the campus community. All are welcome!
Volunteer opportunities are posted as needed.
